Carnation
Carnation is used in cookery mainly for preparation of marinades (mushroom, fruit and berry, meat, vegetable and , less often , fish). Mixes of spices where carnation is present are used in confectionery, fish-canning and sausage production. Clove oil is included into pharmacopoeias in most of the developed countries. It is used as a component in locally irritative, anesthetics and anti-cold ointments and balms. It is very widely applied in stomatology, especially as a component in temporary fillings. It is quite often used in aromatherapy and also as insect repellent.
