Baking powder
Baking powder is used in bakery: it is added to unyeasted, egg, shortcake and pancake doughs. This component is used for preparation of cakes, muffins, pie bases, pies, crumpets, cheesecakes, cake layers for cakes and pizza dough. Approximate proportion: 15 grams of baking powder per 500-600 grams of flour. It is white substance s added to dough to make it fluffy and porous, and to ready pastries — to make them gentle and light. It is able to increase dough (and the ready product, respectively) volume and to make baking quicker.
